2. Local Storage
Encounter data, saved characters, combat history and app settings are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) — regardless of whether you are signed in or not. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
3. Account & Authentication
If you create an account, your email address and account data are processed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Authentication is provided by Clerk Inc. (San Francisco, CA, USA). Data transfer to the USA is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). See Clerk Privacy Policy.
4. Backend & Database
Account and subscription data are stored with Convex Inc. (San Francisco, CA, USA). Data transfer to the USA is governed by SCCs. See Convex Privacy Policy.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never store your payment card details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. See Stripe Privacy Policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Hosting
Hosted by Vercel Inc. Technical connection data may be processed as part of hosting. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
7. Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics — cookieless, no personal data, GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted. No cookie consent required.

2. Subject Matter
DM Combat Companion is a web-based combat tracking tool for tabletop roleplaying games. The service is offered as a freemium SaaS. The Premium subscription (€7.00/month) unlocks additional features including unlimited saved encounters, campaign statistics, and advanced ruleset overrides.
Kleinunternehmer gem. § 19 UStG — no VAT is charged. International customers may be subject to applicable local taxes calculated by Stripe Tax.
3. Subscription & Term
The Premium subscription runs monthly and renews automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time via My Account → "Cancel subscription". The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. This satisfies the obligation under § 312k BGB.
4. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer (§ 13 BGB), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Before payment is processed, you will be asked to confirm that the service is provided immediately and that you waive your right of withdrawal (§ 356 BGB).
5. Prices
All prices are shown in EUR. The Provider operates as a Kleinunternehmer pursuant to § 19 UStG; no VAT is included for German customers. International customers may see additional tax applied by Stripe Tax at checkout.
6. Liability
The service is provided "as is." The Provider excludes liability for indirect or consequential damages to the extent permitted by law. The service is a tool to assist — it does not replace the official D&D rulebooks.
7. Governing Law
German law applies. Place of jurisdiction: Chemnitz.
